The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion- to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor. Isaiah 61.

Ian and Helen Gunn-Russell have been involved in a Biblical counselling ministry together for many years. Ian, a Family Physician and Helen, a long time doctor's wife and nutritionist by training retired to New Jersey, from the United Kingdom, in 1983. A strong relationship with the Living God through the Lord Jesus Christ was central to their relationship from the start. Their counselling ministry took shape in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne in England and further developed in Hazlieburn, West Linton in Scotland. Ordained in the United States by Elim Fellowship, Lima, NY, they have continued to witness the Lord's power changing lives as they minister in their current location.
Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke? Isaiah 58:5
